Chemistry’s Graduate Student Symposium
May 21, 2018 - May 23, 2018
FreeThe 36th Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) is an event that is organized entirely by graduate students from the Department of Chemistry. The GSS annually hosts ~150 graduate students from over a dozen institutions across the northeastern United States and southern Ontario. We have students participating from other departments as well. In the past we have had presenters from physics, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, and biomedical sciences. This is an invaluable event for many graduate students who can participate by presenting a poster at the poster session and/or give a 15-20 minute talk about their research in semi-formal setting. There is no registration fee, and meals are provided for all three days of the symposium. Each day will feature a different keynote speaking, including: Prof. Malika Jeffries-EL from Boston University, Prof. Andy Borovik from the University of California, Irvine, and Prof. Heather Desaire from the University of Kansas.
