End-of-Semester Celebration and Graduate Student Social
End-of-Semester Celebration and Graduate Student Social
The Electrical Engineering Graduate Student Association (EE GSA) will host its annual End-of-Semester Celebration on May 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Inchin’s Bamboo Garden. This event is organized as a fun and welcoming gathering for graduate students to relax, unwind, and celebrate the completion of the semester after exams, project deadlines, research milestones, and other academic pressures.
This event has traditionally been an EE department gathering, but this year we are intentionally expanding it to welcome a broader graduate student audience across departments. By opening the event to all graduate students, we hope to create a larger community-building opportunity that encourages social connection, interdisciplinary interaction, and a stronger sense of belonging on campus. The event will provide a casual and inclusive environment where students can meet peers outside their own programs, strengthen friendships, and enjoy a positive end-of-semester experience together.
The program will include food, beverages, and a relaxed social atmosphere designed to help students de-stress and recharge before the summer period. Because graduate students often face intense workloads and limited opportunities for informal social engagement, this event serves as an important chance to support student well-being, community engagement, and cross-departmental networking. Its broad appeal comes from offering a shared opportunity for celebration, connection, and stress relief that is relevant to graduate students from many academic disciplines, not only Electrical Engineering.
