Call for Program Proposals

Living our Commitment: Inclusive Excellence Summit 2020

The University at Buffalo Office of Inclusive Excellence seeks proposals that illuminate practices, research, and initiatives within the University that support our diversity and inclusion mission. This is a unique opportunity for our campuses to come together as a community of staff, faculty, and students to promote understanding and explore new ways to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion at UB.

Please see the attached document or visit http://www.buffalo.edu/inclusion/projects/inclusion-conference.html for submission instructions. Proposals should be submitted electronically by Monday, November 25, 2019.

Please note that there will be ongoing maintenance performed to the GSA website and all associated club websites beginning at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, October 18^th through 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, October 20^th.  There may be interruptions to website accesses during this time, and there should be no content updates performed during this time frame at the request of UBIT.  If there are any issues with club websites after the upgrade has completed, please contact Hector Rodriguez directly at hectorro@buffalo.edu.

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS AND PANELS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OCTOBER      PROPOSALS WILL BE DUE NOV. 25, 2019

Faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to propose programs on a range of topics that address one of the following themes:

• Moving Beyond the Walls of the University
• Exploring Privilege and Bias
• Creating Cultural Competence on Campus
• Promising Practices for Diversity and Inclusion

Summit highlights include:

• Nationally renowned keynote speaker
• Engaging panels and presentations by faculty, staff and graduate students
• Creating opportunities for sustained collaborations on diversity and inclusion work among faculty, students and staff
• Networking opportunities
