Katherine “Katie” Kremer
Head Research Assistant
Katie is a senior at UB majoring in Psychology and Music with an intended minor in Neuroscience. She plans to attend graduate school in the future for clinical psychology. She enjoys working with kids and is interested in neuropsychology, developmental psychology, and psychopathology.
Sarah England
Sarah is a senior at University at Buffalo, pursuing a bachelor’s of science in Psychology with a minor in English. With a strong passion for the field, Sarah hopes to pursue a career in school psychology, with the ultimate goal to make a positive impact on the well-being of students and the learning environment.
Maya Maurer
Maya is a senior at UB majoring in Psychology and minoring in Counseling. She plans to attend graduate school to earn her master’s in School Psychology. Maya enjoys working with children, particularly those with special needs, and aims to create accessible mental health resources in schools.
Amanda Fox
Amanda is a senior at UB majoring in Psychology and minoring in Counseling. She has always had a passion for working with children and is looking forward to pursuing a career in child psychology or counseling. After earning her BA in Psychology, Amanda plans to attend graduate school for either school psychology or social work. She is interested in researching intervention strategies for children and adolescents at risk for psychological disorders.
Madi Tewksbury
Madi is a junior at UB pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Nutritional Science. After earning her B.S., she plans to pursue a master’s and/or Ph.D. in school psychology, sports psychology, or counseling. Madi’s career goals are to work in sports or child psychology and research strategies to help young adolescents succeed.
Olivia (Liv) Bylewski
Olivia (Liv) is a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a dual degree in Psychology (B.S.) and Studio Art (B.A.). After earning her two bachelor’s degrees, she plans to attend graduate school to obtain a Master’s in Art Therapy. Liv has always been passionate about combining her interests in psychology and art. She aims to open an Art Therapy clinic for school-aged children and adolescents, providing behavioral management services.
Makayla Washburn
Makayla is a sophomore at UB, double majoring in Psychology and Health and Human Services with a concentration in Child and Family studies, as well as pursuing a minor in Sociology. She plans to attend graduate school in the future for school psychology. Makayla enjoys working with kids, and her goal is to create inclusive and supportive learning environments for every child.
Gabriella (Gabi) Filipski
Gabriella (Gabi) is a senior at UB double majoring in Psychology and Sociology, double minoring in Criminology and Counseling. She plans to attend graduate school to pursue a master’s in social work and hopes to work with kids or in a school. Her ultimate goal is to create a safe environment to help children succeed.
Jorimar (Jori) Cosme
Jorimar (Jori), is a junior at UB majoring in psychology with a pre-medicine track. She has always enjoyed working with children and plans to go to medical school after graduation to eventually become a physician with a specialty in pediatrics, psychiatry, or obstetrics and gynecology. She believes it is important for physicians to have a strong understanding in psychology/sociology to be able to better treat and empathize with underlying reasons for patients’ behaviors and symptoms.
Ariana Fermin
Ariana is a senior at UB majoring in Psychology with minors in Communicative Disorders and Spanish. She plans to pursue a master’s degree after graduating. She enjoys working with children and is interested in developmental psychology, speech and language development, and improving access to bilingual communication services.
Rayna Albin
Rayna is a junior at UB majoring in psychology BA with a minor in sociology. She has always had a great passion for psychology and enjoys working with kids. She plans on obtaining a PhD in clinical psychology. She wants to work in schools while obtaining her degree and hopes in the future to have her own practice. She wants to create an environment for people to feel safe, comforted, and heard.
