Dr. Lora Park is a Professor of Psychology at the University at Buffalo.  Her research focuses on questions pertaining to the self, motivation, interpersonal processes, and well-being.

Her work has appeared in outlets such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Psychological Bulletin, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and has been funded by the National Science Foundation.  She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, Society of Experimental Social Psychology, Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Society for Self and Identity and Society of Experimental Social Psychology (President-elect in 2024).

She has been an Associate Editor at Personality and Social Psychology Bulletinis an Associate Editor at Social Psychological and Personality Science, and has served on the editorial boards of Perspectives on Psychological Science, JPSP, PSPB, SPPS, Self and Identity, and Personal Relationships. She received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, snowboarding, power yoga, running, playing piano, listening to music, and singing in the Grammy Award winning Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus.
