Information for Undergraduate Research Assistants

Our research assistants are actively involved in the research process. They run participants in the lab, meet with graduate students to discuss past research, and assist with the preparation of future research.

No previous research experience is necessary to work in the Social Self Lab. We welcome applicants from all majors; however, psychology majors may be especially interested in this opportunity, as they can receive course credit for their time in the lab (PSY 498).

We ask our research assistants to be available for TWO semesters (both fall and spring), for approximately eight hours per week. Research assistants should be dependable, comfortable working in both a team and an individual setting, organized, and attentive.

If you would like to apply to be a research assistant in the Social Self Lab, please fill out the application and email it to vaschnei@buffalo.edu. The application can be found here

If you have any questions, please contact the lab manager Veronica: vaschnei@buffalo.edu.
