We are examining whether broad improvements in cognitive/perceptual domains can be obtained by training on cognitive tasks.
Outcome measures include behavioral performance on tasks of working memory, sustained attention, perceptual discrimination, and fluid intelligence in in healthy individuals and patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Changes in brain activity associated with cognitive training is indexed via Event-Related Potentials. Specifically, we are examining whether improvement on these tasks and changes in brain function is dependent upon the type of tasks the participants train on.
