Early Childhood Friendship Project (Phase 3)
The Early Childhood Friendship Project: Testing Key Mechanisms and the Moderating Role of Physiological Reactivity (ECFP-3 Project)
The ECFP-3 project is a randomized controlled trial of the Early Childhood Friendship Project and tests a teacher implemented coaching model of the ECFP program in preschools. The ECFP is a manualized program for reducing aggression, bullying, and peer victimization as well as promoting prosocial behavior, friendship formation and social skills. The project will test the role of emotion regulation, executive functioning, and social thoughts. In addition, psychophysiology methods (e.g., heart rate) will test for whom the program is most effective. The duration of effects will be tested as children transition from preschool to kindergarten. For a formal abstract click here.
