Wrapping up your online course.
Last week of the course
- Celebrate semester accomplishments
Post an end of semester announcement to wrap-up to the course. Include a final request to complete the End of Semester Evaluation! Celebrate! You and your students have worked hard this semester. Let them know that you appreciate their participation.
- Portfolio Reminders (if applicable)
Remind students that their access to the course will be ending and that they should make backup copies of any coursework they may need in the future, particularly if they are in a program with a Portfolio requirement.
Week after course ends
- Submit Final Grades
Final grades for the course need to be submitted via MyUB ⇒ HUB Faculty Center.
After the Grading Window
- Enrollments in UBlearns End
By default, student enrollments in UBlearns course sites are disabled the first business day after grades are due. Instructors will continue to have access to course content only, not to student submissions, interactions or grades. Instructors may extend or return student access to past semester course sites for an incomplete grade or to view student grades, postings, and submissions. - Export/Archive Your UBlearns Course
Instructors are responsible for backing up their UBlearns courses. Courses will be removed from UBlearns 12 months after the end of the semester.
Preparing for the Upcoming Semester
- Enable your course on UBlearns
You must enable a course before it is visible to your students.
- Set the enrollment date
By default, students will be added to an enabled course on the official course start date. It is recommended that you modify the enrollment date to allow students to access your course in advance of the start date so they may gain access to important course information (syllabus, textbook, etc.)
- Participate in a Professional Development opportunity
