Hello GNO Members,
This is Michelle Gilliland. I just want to thank all the students that attended our first GNO meeting. For those of you that could not attend, our next meeting will be October 23. The location is TBD but it looks as though MAC’s on Hertel will be the location.
I have enclosed the minutes and I want you guys to know about 4 important GNO announcements:
- We need a secretary that will be able to attend all meetings to take notes and create the minutes. One student has expressed interest in this position so far. Email me if you would like to run for this position as well mgillila@buffalo.edu
- Global Experience to Haiti application deadline is October 11 at 4pm. Click here for application.
- Scholarships are available to graduate students. Check it out at http://www.buffalo.edu/fellowships.html to see which scholarships you may qualify for.
- There is another humanitarian trip opportunity in Ecuador to help with the healthcare efforts associated with the recent earthquake in that area. This trip is much sooner than the Global experience but I am sure students and their colleagues may be interested. Click here for the Walking Palms flyer for this trip.
