Welcome to my blog! My name is Ejayah Arrington-Davis, I am a third-year part-time student completing my master’s in social work (MSW). I have made it to my final semester, and I am so excited to be completing the semester doing an internship with Community Service Alliance in the Dominican Republic.
My passion for traveling started during my last semester of my undergraduate program at The college at Brockport SUNY. I was able to complete my bachelor’s in health science abroad at Mahidol University in Thailand. I learned so much about myself and the Thai culture that I decide to take any chance I could to experience and learn about a new culture. Once I learned about the mission and values of the Community Service Alliance, I jumped at the opportunity to complete my final internship abroad.
After completing my MSW, I am planning on becoming a school social worker. I have previously worked in a school for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Working with children and being a part of creating a safe and caring educational experience is my passion. Completing this study abroad experience will further my skill set to work best with children in community and educational settings.
