1st annual Lancaster STEAMfest participation

UB EERI Student Chapter participated today in the 1st annual Lancaster STEAMfest (Science Technology Engineering Arts/Architecture Math). This was an event for K-12 kids/families at Lancaster High School.

The event included educational videos and demonstration of the shake table. The kids could build a structure out of legos and test it in the shake table. Some of our members volunteered to show these amazing things happening in the STEM field here in Western New York. This event provided us with the opportunity of showing a glimpse of what is been going on in the field of earthquake engineering to children at Lancaster High School.
