There will be a representative coming from Medtronic to speak to the club, and it will take place this Wednesday, April 10th from 5-6 pm in NSC 228.
He provided a brief summary for us of what he will talk about:
While Medtronic is known for its innovation and technology and many Biomedical Engineers would love to get a job with Medtronic and work in R &D, there is another totally different role that someone with a Biomedical Engineer degree can have with Medtronic. Field Clinical Specialists work with health care professionals supporting the implantation and device management of Medtronic’s Implantable Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Cardiac Resynchronization Devices and Loop Recorders.
Come hear more about Medtronic, this role, and see if this might be something you would consider after you graduate. The local manager and one of his Clinical Specialists who is a Biomedical Engineer will present and be available to answer questions.
We hope to see you there!
