The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute Student Chapter (UB-EERI) is pleased to announce the hosting of our 3rd Annual Earthquake Engineering Symposium on the 5th of April 2019, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The keynote presentation will be given by Dr. John Van De Lindt, George T. Abell Professor in Infrastructure in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. His research includes seismic reliability analysis, earthquake engineering, and structural dynamics.
There will also be a Student Research Competition where students are welcomed to present research on topics related to Earthquake Engineering. Interested students are requested to submit their abstracts within 100 words to cmurillo@buffalo.edu. There are limited spots available.
Other activities include a tour of the UB Structural Engineering and Earthquake Simulation Laboratory (SEESL). Lunch will be provided to those attending the Symposium. A detailed itinerary will be sent out at a later date.
We welcome you to learn about current student research and hear from Dr. Van De Lindt. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at fszasdib@buffalo.edu.
