STATEMENT OF PURPOSE – The Women\u2019s Club is a non-profit service organization to the University at Buffalo<\/a> and its community.\u00a0 Its members participate in educational and charitable activities which directly sponsor the Grace Capen Academic Awards in the Spring.\u00a0 Membership<\/a> in Women\u2019s Club is open to individuals who have a commitment to the University and the purposes of the Women\u2019s Club.<\/p>\n We welcome new members throughout the year. Click on Membership<\/a> in the menu for instructions to join us.<\/p>\n It\u2019s official\u2014we\u2019re 80, and what a wonderful year it has been!<\/p>\n Our Celebrate 80 Committee did an outstanding job planning a series of memorable events, highlighted by a special performance by the Zodiaque Dancers dedicated to the University at Buffalo Women\u2019s Club. We were also honored to receive a congratulatory message from UB President Satish Tripathi before the performance.<\/p>\n I can only imagine what Grace Capen would think if she could see how the organization she founded 80 years ago has grown and flourished. Throughout the years, the UB Women\u2019s Club has enriched the lives of countless students in many ways, including through the academic award that proudly bears her name.<\/p>\n As we begin our next chapter, I encourage you to take a look at our exciting Program Calendar. Vice President Vicki Pappas has planned an outstanding lineup of luncheons and special events. Our Fall Luncheon is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with friends, welcome new members, and sign up for the many activities that help make our club such a vibrant community.<\/p>\n I also encourage you to consider becoming more involved in a leadership role as an officer or committee chair. Serving the club in a variety of capacities has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences of my membership.
