GHA Mission and Purpose

The GHA is the graduate student organization of the UB history department. Our mission is to foster a community-oriented environment which maintains, supports, and strengthens the intellectual and social lives of all graduate students in the history department. We host informal workshops and social events to further the critical historical and interdisciplinary engagement of our members. We collaborate with several faculty and staff within the history department as well as other UB academic departments and administrative offices to fulfill our mission. We are committed to creating a space for all graduate students to come together not only as academics but as members of a shared community.
