These gestured candidate responses demonstrate their understanding to the teacher, and what they could potentially share with the class if called on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Teachers are responsive to GCRs in three ways:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-list\"><li>nominating a student to share the contribution<\/li><li>taking up and broadcasting a student&#8217;s contribution<\/li><li>declining the GCR by not publicly pursuing the contribution<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Flood, V.
