Get Hands-on Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What Will I Do?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You’ll work as part of a team, running research participants through experimental procedures and operating a variety of physiological recording equipment. No previous experience is necessary\u2014we’ll train you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s the Time Commitment?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We ask for a minimum two-semester commitment, working 8\u201310 hours per week.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Skills Do I Need?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We’re looking for students who are dependable, detail-oriented, ready to learn new things, and able to work well as part of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Are the Benefits?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Psychology majors can earn academic credit (PSY 498). You’ll gain specialized training and develop skills in research methods and with lab equipment. Along the way, you’ll build interpersonal skills as part of a collaborative team. Opportunities for leadership or supervisory roles\u2014and even independent research, such as an Honors thesis<\/a>\u2014may be available for research assistants who excel. Students who are interested are also welcome to attend lab meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall and Spring semesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
