After earning her master&#8217;s degree at the University at Buffalo, she completed her clinical fellowship at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin with a focus on adult dysphagia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research Interests &amp; Career Goals: Jordynn&#8217;s research interests center around the use of interaction analysis to study breakdowns during the conversations of people with communication difficulties. Her main research interest includes the importance of the respiratory system and speech in individuals with motor speech disorders and degenerative diseases. In the future, Ellie hopes to work at a university, either teaching or performing research. Prior to attending UB, Jillian attended the University of Vermont, where she earned her Bachelor&#8217;s in Communication Sciences and Disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research Interests &amp; Career Goals: Jillian\u2019s research interests revolve around providing meaningful contribution to research projects that advance our understanding of speech and language disorders, with a current focus in the involvement of the respiratory system in speech production. Her career goals include working as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and helping children improve their ability to communicate their wants and needs.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Hailey Robson, B.A., Psychology <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailey is a second-year SLP graduate student working as a research assistant in the Speech and Physiology lab. She attended Binghamton University and earning her Bachelor&#8217;s in Psychology in 2024, minoring in Speech and Hearing sciences, and Education. She is currently working to complete her Masters\u2019 Thesis on the long-term effectiveness of the SpeechVive prosthesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research Interests &amp; Career Goals: Hailey\u2019s current research interests are focused on advancing knowledge on the effectiveness of the SpeechVive device as a long-term treatment approach to improving speech in individuals with Parkinson\u2019s Disease. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where she majored in Biology for Health Sciences and Psychology, before arriving at SUNY University at Buffalo to pursue a MA in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Her academic background reflects her passion for health and communication sciences. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research Interests &amp; Career Goals: Jannat\u2019s research interests include neurodegenerative diseases and their effects on speech and memory. Lab<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meghan Darling-White, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is a former doctoral student in the lab. She completed her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Purdue in 2008 and her PhD in 2013. Her long term goal is to develop and validate interventions that have an impact on functional speech production skills in individuals with motor speech disorders. Specifically, she is interested in understanding the relationship between respiratory support for speech and functional speech production skills, such as speech intelligibility.
