Dr. Hui Li, a Chair Professor from Education University of Hong Kong and UB\u2019s Global Research Scholar in Residence, visited us. He presented a compelling public lecture titled “Safety, Identity, Attitude, Cognition, and Capability: The ‘SIACC’ Framework of Early Childhood AI Literacy<\/em>” at our campus. The event draws a wide audience.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-lecture, Dr. Li visited our lab, sharing his publication experiences and offering valuable advice to students. The day ended with a delicious dinner and engaging discussion about AI’s future in ECE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Li <\/strong>is the Chair Professor of Early Childhood Education at the Faculty of Education and Human Development of the Education University of Hong Kong. He was ever the Dean of the Shanghai Institute of Early Childhood Education at Shanghai Normal University (SHNU), Program Director (Master) at the Macquarie School of Education at Macquarie University (MQ), and Program Director (MEd) of the Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He has extensive and focused research interests in the field of early childhood development and education, spanning developmental cognitive neuroscience, developmental psycholinguistics, early literacy and bilingualism, curriculum and pedagogy, educational policy, school leadership, and teacher education. Dr. Li has been Co-Editor of the Journal of Research in Childhood Research (JRCE) and is currently Associate Editor of four SSCI journals: Early Education and Development, Early Child Development and Care, Frontiers in Psychology, and Sustainability (education section). He also serves on the editorial board of six international peer-reviewed journals: Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood, ECNU Review of Education, International Journal of Child Care and Education Policy, International Journal of Early Years Education, Journal for the Study of Education and Development, and Springer-Nature Social Sciences. According to Google Scholar, he has a track record of 302 academic publications, including 236 journal articles, 11 books, 43 chapters, and 12 conference papers. Since 2021, he has been ranked among the World\u2019s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. He was also listed by The Australian as the National Leading Researcher (top 1) in the field of social sciences (social work) in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
