Joame Lissade

Joame’s masters project is titled “Black and White College Men as Bystanders and their Willingness to Intervene in Sexually Aggressive Situations, Based on Potential Victims Race.” The study aims to investigate two main ideas; what role race plays in bystander intervention and how different contextual and individual variables (e.g. exposure to violence, stereotype and gender role beliefs) affect a bystander’s willingness to intervene. The study will use an online survey administered to Black and White college men at local universities in Buffalo.
