She is excited to begin research in the Listening Experience Lab in order to learn more about how different listening environments can affect our cognition and gain invaluable research experience. Her research project focuses on cochlear implant listening effort and spatial awareness through vocoded speech. She loves to hike, garden, and read. Hailee has two cats \u2014 Simba and Shelly \u2014 who are her world! She is looking forward to exploring the different aspects of audiologic care especially geriatric audiology and vestibular diagnostic testing. She also held the treasurer position for the National Student Speech-Language and Hearing chapter at UD. As she enters the field of audiology, she is becoming even more fascinated by clinical practice and all the new technological advancements. After shadowing an audiologist, Julia was fascinated by cochlear implants and patient-centered care. The harmony between technology and counseling aspects continually sparks new interests for her.
