Kristina DeRoy Milvae<\/strong> is the director of the Listening Experience Lab.  She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at the University at Buffalo.  She completed postdoctoral training at the University of Maryland College Park.  She previously earned Au.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Purdue University, and she earned a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has a passion for hearing research and is focused on answering questions that will have a positive impact on audiologic care. She shares this passion with her students and is committed to providing mentorship and research opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds in an environment of support and encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samantha Recine<\/strong> is a Doctor of Audiology student at SUNY University at Buffalo (Class of 2028). She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from SUNY New Paltz. Passionate about research and patient care, Samantha is dedicated to expanding her expertise and becoming a well-rounded clinical audiologist specializing in audiologic rehabilitation. She is committed to advocating for her patients and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Shifali Chambers<\/strong> is a Doctor of Audiology student at SUNY University at Buffalo (Class of 2026). She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees from CUNY Queens College. During her undergraduate career, she studied Communication Sciences and Disorders and Psychology. Shifali is looking forward to engaging in research and becoming a well-informed clinician who will advocate for her patients.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Leanna Hair<\/strong> is a Doctor of Audiology student at SUNY University at Buffalo (Class of 2027). She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders at SUNY New Paltz. She is excited to begin research in the Listening Experience Lab in order to learn more about how different listening environments can affect our cognition and gain invaluable research experience. Leanna hopes to work with adult patients and specialize in audiologic rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hailee Kerins<\/strong>\u00a0is a second-year Doctor of Audiology student at SUNY University at Buffalo. Her research project focuses on cochlear implant listening effort and spatial awareness through vocoded speech. She loves to hike, garden, and read. Hailee has two cats \u2014 Simba and Shelly \u2014 who are her world! Hailee loves to help others and is very excited for her journey here at UB.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Claire Kitts<\/strong> is a first-year Doctor of Audiology at SUNY Buffalo. She received her undergraduate degree in health and human services concentrated in early childhood, as well as two minors in communication sciences and global gender studies, from SUNY Buffalo. Her several years of professional work experience with children has shaped her curiosity in pediatric and vestibular audiology.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Uzaira Sethi<\/strong> is a third-year Doctor of Audiology student at SUNY University at Buffalo. She earned a Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Waterloo. Her interest in Audiology began after volunteering at a Hearing Solutions Clinic in Toronto. She is looking forward to exploring the different aspects of audiologic care especially geriatric audiology and vestibular diagnostic testing. Uzaira is excited to engage with research projects to enhance her skills and leave a positive influence on audiologic care.   <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gabrielle Tantleff<\/strong> is a third-year student in the Doctor of Audiology graduate program at SUNY University at Buffalo. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware. During her undergraduate career, she studied Cognitive Science, and completed minors in Human Development and Family Sciences and Disability Studies. She also held the treasurer position for the National Student Speech-Language and Hearing chapter at UD. As she enters the field of audiology, she is becoming even more fascinated by clinical practice and all the new technological advancements. She looks forward to engaging in research and continuing her training to become a knowledgeable and skilled clinician.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Julia<\/strong> DiPasquale<\/strong> is an undergraduate junior at the University at Buffalo studying Speech & Hearing Science and minoring in Health & Human Services. After shadowing an audiologist, Julia was fascinated by cochlear implants and patient-centered care. The harmony between technology and counseling aspects continually sparks new interests for her. Julia intends to pursue a career as an audiologist specializing in cochlear implants and audiologic rehabilitation. She is excited to explore new listening effort research as she prepares for her graduate school journey. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
