EN: This research investigated the perceived impact of conflict-induced displacement on individual multilingualism in Cameroon, specifically the case of. The study focused on the displacement of native speakers from Lower Fungom who are currently residing in either Bassa or Souza in the Littoral region of Cameroon, moved from their natural setting to urban and semi-urban settings. This research examined the perceived impact of the Anglophone crisis on the multilingual nature of some IDPs from Lower Fungom. The study employed the social network and language use theory, using the qualitative paradigm with case study as the qualitative method. Data was collected through semi- structured interviews and language portraits. It was realized in this study that these migrants from Lower Fungom were not only receptive to the French Language which was the frequently used language in their present settlement but to other local languages which were not among the languages of Lower Fungom thanks to the positive attitude that they portrayed towards these languages.<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9tude a utilis\u00e9 la th\u00e9orie du r\u00e9seau social et de l’utilisation de la langue, en utilisant le paradigme qualitatif avec l’\u00e9tude de cas comme m\u00e9thode qualitative. Les donn\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9es au moyen d’entretiens semi-structur\u00e9s et de portraits linguistiques. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 dans cette \u00e9tude que ces migrants du Bas-Fungom n’\u00e9taient pas seulement r\u00e9ceptifs \u00e0 la langue fran\u00e7aise qui \u00e9tait la langue fr\u00e9quemment utilis\u00e9e dans leur installation actuelle, mais \u00e0 d’autres langues locales qui ne figuraient pas parmi les langues du Bas-Fungom gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’attitude positive qu’ils affichaient \u00e0 l’\u00e9gard de ces langues.<\/p>\n\n\n
