Masters thesis, University of Yaounde I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EN: This work seeks to promote the revitalization of the Buu language through a thorough description of its phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Buu is a Beboid language (today Yemne-Kimbi) spoken in the village of Buu in the Lower Fungom region in Northwest Cameroon. The researcher collected data with a combination of a questionnaire and interviews and then applied both a descriptive and generative approach for analysis. They found that the Buu language consists of 23 consonants, 12 vowels, and 2 tones, as well as a nominal class system with 18 classes. Finally, the researcher also found a significant amount of influence from English on the Buu language, mainly due to borrowing processes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FR: Ce travail tente de promouvoir la revitalisation de la langue Buu \u00e0 travers une description rigoureuse de sa phon\u00e9tique, phonologie, morphologie, syntaxe et s\u00e9mantique. Buu est une langue Beboide (aujourd\u2019hui Yemne-Kimbi) parl\u00e9e dans le village de Buu dans le Bas Fungom dans la R\u00e9gion du Nord-Ouest Cameroun. La chercheuse a collectionn\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es avec une combinaison d&#8217;un questionnaire et des interviews, puis a appliqu\u00e9 une approche \u00e0 la fois descriptive et g\u00e9n\u00e9rative pour l\u2019analyse. On a trouv\u00e9 que la langue Buu est compos\u00e9e de 23 consonnes, 12 voyelles, et 2 tons, ainsi qu&#8217;un syst\u00e8me de classes de noms avec 18 classes.
