Felix Trojan was a Viennese phonetician and grammarian who specialized in voice disorders and therapies. Trojan collaborated with Emil Froeschels to founded the International Association of Phoniatrics and Logopedics in 1924. He then served the organization over the years in various capacities. Most notably, he was elected vice president repeatedly, being appointed in the years: 1950, 1956, 1959, 1962, and 1965. In 1965, Trojan also organized a congress of IALP, held in Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trojan\u2019s research included work on German grammar and phonetics, with a special interest in speech rhythm and intonation and in vowel structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it was in the area of voice and voice therapy that led him to Froeschels and the IALP. Trojan devised various methods for voice therapy, including relaxation exercises and creating therapies to match a person\u2019s mental imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
