In the 1785 work he classified diseases into four major groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Pyrexiae<\/em>, or febrile diseases, as typhus fever<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Neuroses<\/em>, or nervous diseases, as epilepsy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Cachexiae<\/em>, or diseases resulting from bad habit of body such as scurvy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Locales<\/em>, or local diseases, as cancer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Writings of William Cullen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cullen William (1784).&nbsp;<em>First Lines of the Practice of Physic<\/em>&nbsp;Edinburgh: C.
