You can\u00a0login to Skype for Business, click <em>Meet Now<\/em>, and then click <em>Start Recording.<\/em>\u00a0Then, present your lecture to the empty Skype for Business meeting room as you would if your students were in there with you (load your PowerPoint, narrate over top of it, share your desktop, etc.). QuickTime Player also offers several options for editing your movie and how to share your movie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Accessibility Reminder<\/h2>\n<p>As if we could ever forget about meeting accessibility standards, right? \u00a0But because this post is about recording videos for instructional use, I did want to emphasize the importance of including a &#8220;text equivalent for every non-text element provided in the course (&#8220;alt&#8221; tags, captions, transcripts, etc.)&#8221;. My recommendation for accelerating the closed captioning process for online lectures is to <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1uNBAPxvSQ9DADeMq9eT5tWk2ffQI0wMlg5e-lRpduQ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upload the video to YouTube<\/a>, allow the YouTube auto-captioning tool to caption your video, and then <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=0BwODXK_RASFdcDlicGljeHJPM1E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">edit the YouTube closed captioning<\/a> to improve the accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions about using any of the recording tools or about the closed captioning process, please contact the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalo.edu\/gse\/online\/faculty\/support\/GSE_ID_Form.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GSE Instructional Design<\/a> team\u00a0for additional support.
