How does a virtual Symposium work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each individual session will be held as a Zoom meeting. You will be required to download the latest version of Zoom the day before the conference. Instructions are available at https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201362233-Upgrade-update-to-the-latest-version<\/a> The Zoom link for each session will appear on the schedule and be emailed to registered participants the day before the Symposium.<\/em> Depending on room settings you may need to be admitted from the waiting room, or you may need to sign into Zoom on your computer with your UB account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long is each session?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Concurrent paper sessions<\/em> are scheduled for 30 minutes. This allows for 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panel<\/em> sessions are 50-60 minutes in length and the amount of time for each presentation is decided by the individual panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poster sessions<\/em> are not formal presentations, but rather scheduled time for presenters to be available for questions from Symposium participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I update Zoom?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Instructions to help you are available at https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201362233-Upgrade-update-to-the-latest-version<\/a>.
