Building on the principles of Gandhi, Mandela, and Dr. King, the nonviolence method to conflict reconciliation can be powerfully applied to any setting, any issue, or any relationship. It has proven successful in all kinds of settings from national power struggles, to prisons, to corporations and to college campuses. Whether the end is disciplined practice of the principles of nonviolence in a hostile setting, the ability to facilitate dialogue among people with different values and priorities, or some other expression of peacemaking, this training provides an important first step. You’ll engage in personal reflection, become closer with team members, and walk away more self-aware.

“If one does not practice nonviolence in one’s personal relations with others and hopes to use it in bigger affairs, one is vastly mistaken.” – Gandhi”

Please distribute the attached flyer to your students/networks. RSVP for the training event to medepetr@buffalo.edu or delaneyd@buffalo.edu by March 4th.

The School of Social Work GSA is a cosponsor to this day-long training in the theory and practice of nonviolence on Saturday, March 11th from 9am-4pm in the Student Union … Continue reading Nonviolence Training ~ Social Work GSA

[23
post-5533","tribe_events","type-tribe_events","status-publish","hentry","tribe_events_cat-club-event","cat_club-event
["GET
