Through simulations, we can now shift time and space to create authentic learning experiences to engage and motivate learners. We can now be involved in simulated environments using new genres of technology, making choices and affecting outcomes. Exploration sessions will share how freely available tools can be used to simulate reality. Simulations are no longer restricted only to those who have access to expensive virtual labs<\/p>\n<p><strong>This series held on Thursdays through January at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, shares examples of\u00a0how higher education is making use of Immersive Xperiences (IX).<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Jan 6 &#8211; Session #1: Presentation About a Variety of Immersive Xperiences (IX)<\/li>\n<li>Jan 13 &#8211; Session #2: Hands-on Exploration Using Google Street View to Create 360\u00b0 Virtual Tours<\/li>\n<li>Jan 20 &#8211; Session #3: Hands-on Exploration of Google Arts and Culture &amp; Other Virtual Reality (VR) Tours<\/li>\n<li>Jan 27 &#8211; Session #4: Hands-on Exploration Creating Augmented Reality (AR) Using Merge Cube<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Offered in HyFlex Format<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Optionally attend in-person, online synchronously through ZOOM, or asynchronously through UB Learns at a time that suits your availability. The first session includes a broad overview of IX modalities.
