We are inviting you to consider taking part in this research project being conducted by Foundation Year students in the UB MSW Program.<\/p>\n
Our research group is conducting a study to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the quality of and access to healthcare for women from different racial groups who specifically reside in Western New York<\/span>. Black and Brown women have been disproportionately impacted by medical malpractice, health and economic disparities, and medical racism both currently and throughout the history of the United States (Perry, Harp & Oser, 2013)<\/span>.<\/p>\n Through our research, we hope to further investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on racialized groups of women with an intersectional lens in order to inform further policy to address systemic barriers and increase access to proper care.
