Sarah MacDougall is GSA’s President, and a PhD student in the Psychology department who also enjoys linguistics and cognitive science. Outside of school, she enjoys playing music, improving her sad MarioKart skills with her endlessly patient husband, skateboarding, making quilts, and dealing with the roller coaster of emotions that comes with turning into a Blue Jays fan after a lifelong allegiance to the Yankees (Alejandro Kirk 4 lyfe). She is currently accepting live music recommendations (most genres welcome). On a more serious note, she enjoys connecting students to resources on campus and encourages people to reach out if they have a need that they feel could be better met – she’s happy to advocate for further programming and resources within the\u00a0\u00a0GSA and to upper-level administration.\u00a0 You can contact her at gsa-president@buffalo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Sherika Caliste is the Vice President of the Graduate Student Association and a PhD student in the Psychology Department. As a social psychological researcher, Sherika seeks to understand how social perception and identity shape interpersonal attitudes, affect, and behavior. As Vice President, she will utilize her years of diverse service activities and her background in social work to ensure that all students at UB are connected to resources that will not only enhance their time here, but will set them up for a brighter future outside of UB. Dan Kulesza is GSA\u2019s Treasurer and a PhD student in the Department of Communication, specializing in cognitive science. When taking a break from his work, he can usually be found faking in Rocket League, rewatching Cowboy Bebop, or debating Duff\u2019s vs Bar Bill Tavern (but is always open to new wing recommendations). Within the GSA, Dan is committed to ensuring transparent, equitable resource allocation and encourages graduate students to reach out with funding questions, grant ideas, or structural concerns.
