DESCRIPTION:The September 6th Board of Directors meeting will be held online via Zoom.  GSA Board of Directors meetings are open to the public\, but only designated representatives from Departmental and International clubs may vote. Sign-in begins at 6:00pm so that the meeting can begin promptly at 6:30pm. Once the meeting begins no one else will be admitted for attendance purposes. \n**If your club has not yet held elections for new Board Members and submitted the Board of Election Verification Form by 12:00pm (noon) on this meeting date\, then last year’s club Board Members and Alternates will be the only ones able to sign-in with voting privileges. \nPLEASE NOTE: Every club will need to email Stephanie at slfrank@buffalo.edu no later than 12:00pm on Wednesday\, September 6th with who will be attending the meeting on the club’s behalf so that eligible representatives can be verified in advance.  Once representatives are verified they will be sent the Zoom meeting link and password directly\, along with some instructions on how the meeting will be managed\, in order to be able to participate and vote.  Only previously verified representatives will be admitted to participate in the Zoom meeting. \n\n\nFor attendance purposes each Special Interest Club may have one representative participate directly in the Zoom meeting\, but they will not have voting privileges.  Additional special requests for guests and/or speakers to be admitted may be sent to gsa-feedback@buffalo.edu. \nThe meeting will also be live streamed via GSA’s Facebook Page for anyone else that is interested in watching the meeting without voting privileges or an official attendance record\, as meetings are open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Dr. Philip Schneider graduated with his PhD. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and now leads the Research and Development team as Sr. Director\, at tech Unicorn company\, ACV. His research has proven highly beneficial and innovative to both the scientific and automotive community as demonstrated through his 27 publications and 8 patents. His team was responsible for developing some ACV’s flagship technologies like the Virtual Lift™\, Audio Motor Profile (AMP)\, APEX and continues to push the boundaries in the automotive and A.I. tech space. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to an in-depth overview of the NIH Loan Repayment Program from the Division of Loan Repayment Director\, Matthew Lockhart. The NIH Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs) are a set of programs established by Congress designed to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research centers. The NIH LRPs pay up to $50\,000 annually of qualified educational debt in return for a commitment to engage in NIH mission-relevant research. Applicants must hold an M.D.\, Ph.D.\, Psy.D.\, Pharm.D\, D.O.\, D.D.S.\, D.M.D. D.P.M\, D.C.\, N.D.\, O.D.\, D.V.M\, or equivalent doctoral-level degree (except for the Contraception & Infertility Research LRP).
