SUMMARY:Electrical Engineering Speaker ~ Dr. Richard Chang
DESCRIPTION:We have invited Dr. Richard Chang to speak at UB.  He is the founding father of SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation)\, current CEO and Chairman of ShinerayTek Co. (Shanghai\, China)\, the “Father of Semiconductor in China”\, the recipient of UB International Extraordinary Alumni Award. Dr. Richard Chang will be visiting UB\, key labs in the School of Engineering\, the Department of Electrical Engineering\, and giving a lecture to UB graduate students. His extraordinary leadership and persistent entrepreneurship and unique experience in industry can hugely inspire our graduate students in economics\, management\, and engineering. Possible programs include meeting faculty and students\, delivering a lecture on topics related to semiconductors\, and visiting the new cleanroom in the EE department\, as well as visiting other state-of-the-art laboratories at UB.  Lecture topic (tentative): the validity of the Moore’s Law and what challenges we are facing
