The event will be followed by Milonga Mariposa (Hosted by Ekaterina)\, and Brunchilonga on Sunday. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe First Weekend of October (5th and 6th)\nBuffalo\, NY \nSaturday\, October 5th:\nHarriman Hall\, UB South Campus \n12:00 – 12:30 pm : Registration\, Welcome\, and Warm Up \n12:30 – 2:00 pm: Workshop 1 \nFundamentals For All\n– understand and learn the technique our dance is built upon\n– develop an embrace that is present\, connected\, and comfortable\n– develop a walk that is smooth and powerful \n2:15 – 3:45 pm : Workshop 2 \nMicro vs. Macro Musicality & Movement\n– a look at the big picture in music and movement\n– moving with flow\n– finding your inner Fred Astair\n– using the path of least resistance \n4:15 – 5:45 pm: Workshop 3 \nFreeing Up The Legs\n– relaxing our lower bodies (followers and leaders)\n– leading and finding the follower’s free leg (beyond boleos)\n– demanding more from your standing leg\n—————————————————————————–\nWe are happy to announce that all the workshops are FREE for UB graduate students.
