SUMMARY:UB Graduate Workshop on Romance Languages\, Literatures\, and Discourses
DESCRIPTION:UB Graduate Workshops on Romance Languages\, Literatures and Discourses (UB Graduate WORLLD). These workshops seek to provide space and time for graduate students who are working on issues related to Romance languages\, their literatures\, and all types of discourses involved therein to be able to engage in professionalization by dialoguing with other graduate student peers\, faculty\, and interested community members through short conference style presentations.  These presentations are designed to give graduate students a familiar and friendly environment where they can present on research or proposals at any stage of the process from literature reviews to show theoretical foundation for a research question\, to fully published/publishable papers. Each presenter will be able to receive feedback from attendees to help them better their work and keep it moving forward. As part of this professionalization\, there will be two keynote speakers\, one for each day\, where graduate students\, and others present\, can experience dialoguing with noted scholars about their work. Presenters will be chosen on a first-come-first served basis\, until all slots are filled\, so long as what they are looking to present aligns with the intended thematic elements (i.e. Romance Languages\, Literatures\, and discourses related). The goals of these workshops are: engaging in professionalization\, provoke stimulating thoughts\, conversation\, and interdisciplinary engagement. \nAll participants must review the GSA’s Safety Acknowledgement and Participant Disclaimer before attending.
