SUMMARY:UB Science and Health Policy Club Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in learning how your research can be translated to policy? Or being able to meet other graduate students outside of your own department? We welcome you to join the UB Science and Health Policy club this semester! If so\, please fill out this form so you can be added to our email list for information on all upcoming events! \nOur major goals for this club are to provide graduate students with opportunities to prepare for careers in science and health policy\, to be a platform in which we can foster interests in science communication & advocacy\, and to promote networking with others outside of our own fields. Our proposed activity list for the fall semester includes: \n\nWhat is science and health policy? Learn what science and health policy is and what our club is all about!\n\nSeptember 25th on zoom! Please RSVP to this event using this link. \n\n\nHow do I create a CV for jobs outside of academia? This will be a webinar focused on how to develop a CV that will land you a policy-focused position post-graduation.\n\nOctober date TBD\n\n\nNetworking November Panel! This series will focus on fostering relationships with people outside of the UB community.\n\nNovember date TBD\n\n\nHoliday party! To relax and unwind at the end of the semester with others outside of your own department.\n\nDecember date TBD\n\n\n\nWe are so excited about your interest in learning more about science and health policy and can’t wait to see you at our first meeting!
