SUMMARY:26th Annual Milton Plesur Graduate History Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Graduate History Association of the University at Buffalo will host its 26th Annual Conference with the theme “Changing Urban Landscapes: Shifts in Communities\, Spaces and Identity.” \nThis year\, we have invited historian Mauricio Tenorio\, a professor from the University of Chicago\, to give the keynote address. Specializing in the cultural and social history of Mexican urbanism\, particularly of Mexico City\, Dr. Tenorio will provide a talk entitled “History and the Megalopolis.” His recent book Latin America: The Allure and Power of an Idea will be published next month. \nWe are also excited to highlight the diversity of Buffalo by offering food from the Westside Bazaar\, a small business incubator supporting immigrant\, refugee\, and low-income entrepreneurs on their path to becoming successful business owners. \nTo register\, please e-mail GHAconference2017@buffalo.edu by March 10. \nPreliminary Schedule Below.
