DESCRIPTION:Dear UB Student Organization Members–   This year\, as in the past 4 years\, the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) is holding its annual VISIONWALK\, to raise money for eye research aimed at finding cures\, treatments\, and preventions for blinding eye diseases. \nThe reason I’m contacting you today is that WE NEED STUDENT VOLUNTEERS to walk in the VisionWalk event and also to help out at the walk sight.  PLEASE HELP US GET THE WORD OUT. \nThis is a great opportunity for students to perform local community service\, and for a very good cause.  Last year\, we were fortunate to have several UB students participate. \nThe VisionWalk event will take place on SATURDAY\, MAY 14\, 2016\, starting at 9:00am\, at CANALSIDE- Great Lawn (see flyer\, attached) \nI you would like to affiliate with a team\, I’d welcome you to join me and my faculty colleagues from the Department of Ophthalmology. \nOur team is called the “Ross Eye Institute Illuminators” \nhttp://www.fightblindness.org/site/TR/VISIONWALK/VisionWalktr?pg=team&fr_id=5713&team_id=83004#.VvCCb3on1sm \nYou can sign up as a walker\, and/or donate to the cause\, online via the URL above.  ANY amount would be greatly appreciated. \nThanks for your consideration of this request.  I hope to see you at the VisionWalk in May! \nSincerely\, \nSteven J.
