Mark Duerr
Mark Duerr has been part of the research team on a wide variety of substance use clinical trials for over 30 years at UB’s Research Institute on Addictions. As a staff member at RIA, his primary focus has been on treatment outcome studies for individuals who would like to quit drinking. He has worked with both inpatient and outpatient populations. He has also been involved in several different multisite clinical trials studying the effectiveness of pharmaceutical agents for alcohol (acamprosate, naltrexone) and tobacco (varenicline) users.
Mark received his M.A. in psychology from SUNY at Buffalo and his B.A. in psychology from Westminster College. He joined RIA directly upon finishing his M.A., and is thrilled to be a new member of the ENABLE team! He lives with his wife and three cats. He loves live music, travel, and visiting new restaurants.
