CLEAR (Contact Linguistics: Exploration, Analysis and Research)<\/strong> invites students, faculty members, and researchers to its first meeting of the Fall 2026 semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CLEAR explores the effects of contact between languages and linguistic communities. Areas of interest include bilingualism and multilingualism, creole and pidgin languages, contact-induced language change, cognition, psychological approaches to language contact, contact varieties, non-standard dialects, and related topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants from all linguistic subdisciplines and neighboring fields are welcome. No advance preparation is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
