CLEAR Kickoff Meeting

CLEAR (Contact Linguistics: Exploration, Analysis and Research) invites students, faculty members, and researchers to its first meeting of the Fall 2026 semester.

CLEAR explores the effects of contact between languages and linguistic communities. Areas of interest include bilingualism and multilingualism, creole and pidgin languages, contact-induced language change, cognition, psychological approaches to language contact, contact varieties, non-standard dialects, and related topics.

Participants from all linguistic subdisciplines and neighboring fields are welcome. No advance preparation is required.
