Dr. Julie Bowker<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"Dr. Julie (Wojslawowicz) Bowker<\/strong> is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the Director of the Child and Adolescent Relationships Laboratory. Prior to her arrival at the University at Buffalo in the Fall of 2006, she completed her doctoral work at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests are focused on friendships and peer relationships and the ways in which these close relationships impact emotional and psychological well-being during late childhood and early adolescence.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jenna Weingarten<\/strong> is a sixth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program. Jenna received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in the impact of child and adolescent friend and peer relationships on well-being. She is also interested in how individual factors (e.g., personality) influence psychosocial adjustment. Across these areas of research, Jenna is interested in construct measure development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chloe Richard<\/strong> is in her fourth year of the doctoral program in the Clinical Psychology Program. Chloe received her B.S. in Psychology and B.S. in Applied Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). After which, she received her M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. Chloe\u2019s research interests include understanding interpersonal influences, including peer and family influences, on psychological well-being. She is particularly interested in researching the impact of peer relationships on development of depression and suicidal thoughts and behaviors in adolescence across multiple contexts (e.g., in-person, virtual), and potential areas to target for prevention of these difficulties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rachel Klementowski<\/strong> is a second year Master\u2019s student in the Clinical Psychology program. Rachel received her B.S. in Psychological Science and Mathematics. Afterwards, she gained experience in neuropsychological evaluation in the Buffalo area. Her research interests include interpersonal factors that impact emotional wellbeing in children and adolescents. She is particularly interested in how developmental disorders affect emotional regulation in social contexts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pia Marina Montenegro<\/strong> is a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program. Pia received her B.S. in Psychology from Emory University. Pia\u2019s research interests are focused on the reciprocal relationships between interpersonal relationships in adolescence \u2013 familial, peers, romantic, school personnel, community \u2013 and depression and anxiety, and how identity and cultural expectations can influence that reciprocal relationship. She is particularly interested in examining race, ethnicity, immigration history, and socioeconomic status, as well as the intersectionality between these facets of one\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n

Ally Fuchs<\/strong> is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University at Buffalo. Her research interests center on how daily experiences of solitude and social connectedness contribute to socioemotional functioning and influence the development of psychopathology during adolescence and young adulthood. She is particularly interested in identifying the individual and contextual factors that shape the experience and psychosocial impacts of solitude. Outside of her academic pursuits, Ally enjoys baking, reading, hiking, and listening to music.<\/p>\n
