Keep reading for a guide of activities to enjoy during the fall and beginning of the holiday season in Buffalo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Appreciate the fall foliage.<\/strong> One of the most enjoyable parts of the season is seeing the leaves change colors and the fall scenery. Take a break from schoolwork and enjoy a walk, run, bike ride, or hike in the crisp fall air. UB is located relatively close to several nature gems, including Letchworth State Park, Knox Farm State Park, Chestnut Ridge Park, and Ellicottville. These are also perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway. Be sure to take pictures!&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Embrace Bills\u2019 season.<\/strong> It\u2019s the most wonderful time of the year. Buffalo takes their football very seriously, and you should too! It gives us something to look forward to each week. Go to a home game, have a watch-party, enjoy some snacks, buy some merch, and cheer on our team with the rest of Bills Mafia.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Visit a pumpkin farm or apple orchard.<\/strong> Buffalo has no shortage of these places. No matter which one you choose you will enjoy all of the fall staples: fall landscapes, apple cider, fresh doughnuts, and, of course, a wide selection of pumpkins to make your study space festive for the season. Be on the lookout for fun and unique pumpkins that were painted by local artists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enjoy a walk in a local village.<\/strong>\u202fBuffalo has no shortage of these either! Stroll along the sidewalks of Buffalo\u2019s suburbs and try a new local restaurant or ice cream shop or find a new favorite small business to shop at. Some of my personal favorite villages are Williamsville and East Aurora.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shop local.<\/strong>\u202fThe Buffalo community is filled with entrepreneurs and small businesses to support. Many villages and parks in the area that were previously mentioned also host vendor markets with local artisans on select dates. As we get closer to the holidays, you can find unique and thoughtful treasures for your loved ones and support the Buffalo business community in the process!\u202f<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Host a seasonal-themed gathering with friends.<\/strong>\u202fIs staying in more your style? No problem! Treat yourself and your friends to a festive gathering away from the books right at home. The possibilities are endless\u2014Halloween movie night, craft night, charcuterie night, Friendsgiving, holiday gift exchange, and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter what you do during the fall semester, make sure to take time for yourself. Academic and professional success stems from overall health and happiness.
