Who do Kids Want to Learn New Words From?

Children learn new words and facts from many people, including other children and adults.

In this study, your child will learn some new words but have the choice to learn from either a child or an adult. By understanding how children think about who knows what, researchers can learn more about how children reason about expertise and how this affects word learning.

Help us learn how children decide who to learn from when discovering new toys and tools!

This study will take place over Zoom, live with a researcher! During the Zoom call, we will ask you to sit in front of your computer with your child. Your child would learn some new words and then be asked to say them and match them to the correct image.
