For Undergraduate Students
We are actively recruiting undergraduate students interested in gaining research experience for the Fall 2024 semester!

In your email please include: Name, Pronouns (if comfortable), Year in School, Major, and Why You’re Interested. From there, we’ll determine whether you may be a good fit for the lab. Applicants with good fit will receive an interview with a lab leader.
For more information, read our Undergraduate RA FAQ (PDF) (file coming soon).
For Graduate Students
Dr. Schwartz-Mette will be reviewing:
- Clinical Psychology Ph.D. applications submitted Fall 2024 for enrollment in Fall 2025. The UB Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program follows a Clinical Scientist model, meaning that we have strong clinical training that is secondary to research training. The program is accredited by APA and PCSAS. For more info, take a look at our Graduate RA FAQ.
Dr. Schwartz-Mette will not be recruiting master’s students for enrollment in Fall 2025.
Applicants who are interested in developmental psychopathology and peer relationships would be typically be a good match. Although most successful applicants will have research goals directly in line with the current focus of the lab, it also is possible that an applicant will have a research interest that compliments our existing work and may even take it in a new direction. Generally speaking, successful applicants are excited about research careers in which they can contribute to basic and applied clinical science.
