P2 Phase 2

2. Design Phase Deliverables

These deliverables should be added to the Phase 1 Report:

  • Wireframes/UX Sketches: demonstration of the design framework. In Project 1, wireframes were used as a blueprint to build your HTML/CSS. Since you’ll be chosing a prebuilt WordPress theme for Project 2, this wireframing should be a way for you to identify basic needs for content areas and functional components, which will help you identify an appropriate theme. (In the Develop Phase you will customize the theme to more closely reflect your wireframe ideas.)
  • Page Tables: a collection of all original site text content, presented unformatted (headlines, paragraphs, lists). This will be edited, condensed and rearranged as part of the Develop process. (You do not need to include the entire page table in your presentation — you may use a screenshot of a representative sample, and a link to the actual document.)
  • Style Guide: documentation of the design thinking, including visuals (branding and color), typography, and other relevant style guidelines.
  • Usability Statement: With your users in mind (reference your personas) briefly describe how design choices will impact usability and a positive user experience, in ways that will connect the user to your content and accomplish your client’s goals. Consider how design choices will increase ease of navigation, info discoverability, accessibility…
  • WordPress Theme Options: Screenshots of one or more themes that reflect your design thinking. Include your primary Theme selection (may be changed once development begins.)
