This is my philosophy in life, and I always put my best effort in whatever I do. I do everything with a lot of conviction, passion, and determination. My decision to pursue an MBA was to give two years of my life a program where I can completely immerse myself in the academic understanding of this subject, learn from the best professors, leverage the experience of my fellow classmates, and develop a deep understanding of cultural nuances across the globe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My reason and rational for choosing UB was because of the extraordinary faculty of the School of Management, the opportunity to participate and learn from Blackstone launchpad, and various case competitions. The class size at UB is optimum and ensure that every student gets their due attention from professors; this helps us as students drastically improve our learning curve. The subjects are taught in an unconventional way as we are encouraged to think out of the box, think collectively, and therefore win collectively. Every professor is very open to mentoring and guiding the students even outside the classroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel extremely fortunate to have had an opportunity to attend the National Black Career fair held in Chicago. It gave me a deep understanding of American job market and the employment landscape. It also gave me a view of where I stand and potential opportunities that lie ahead. We met other MBA students from business schools across the US and got to hear their elevator pitches. I sincerely believe that this would not have been possible without the guidance and encouragement from my professors and the Career Resource Center team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The School of Management creates an environment that is acceptable for every individual\u2019s learning and growth. From finalizing your resume to identifying potential employers and finishing your elevator pitch, the Career Resource Center plays the role of a friend, adviser, and guide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My journey here has just begun, and I look forward to the next two years of my life. As the famous poet Robert Frost wrote, \u201cThe woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bio – <\/strong>Nazia Tasleemis a first year MBA student at the University of Buffalo. She hails from central part of India and can speak 3 native languages fluently. She has a passion for helping people and has been associated with NGOs and worked on Clean Water and Teach India campaigns. She is a graduate in History from Hansraj college, Delhi University. Nazia has over 10 years of experience as a Human Capital consultant working with global multinational corporations like Nokia Networks, Deloitte Consulting & Bank of America. Consulting is her passion and has won numerous awards during her work tenure. She was also nominated as People Matter\u2019s Asia\u2019s Nextgen emerging leaders in 2015.
