Shadowing Opportunities

About the shadowing program

The physician shadowing program provides an unparalleled opportunity for undergraduate students to spend a day with a Buffalo-area physician. While volunteering is a valuable experience, and highly regarded by admissions committees, shadowing provides students with a one-on-one interaction with physicians in a clinical setting.

To be considered for the shadowing program there are several things that you must complete. You must attend 2 APMS meetings in the semester that you wish to shadow in, and you must also watch a HIPAA informational video. Once these have been completed, you can then fill out the HIPAA compliance form and submit it to Aniket Maini, the shadowing coordinator. To gain access to the HIPAA video and form, please email Aniket Maini, amaini2@buffalo.edu.
